E-LAB Challenges
Our documentation of the six E-lab challenges and its impact.
In this E-Lab challenge, we each recorded a short pitch about ourselves and what we bring to the team, along with a group statement on our goals for E-Lab. We compiled the videos, uploaded them to YouTube, and submitted the link on Canvas. Bonus points were given for posting bloopers on Instagram.
Our Think Tank was asked to spotlight an African community by telling a unique story about it—sharing its amazing facts, challenges, misconceptions, and what makes it special. We had to present this through a creative media format like a vlog, podcast, or radio show, with each member playing a specific role.
In the HELP-LAB challenge, we were asked to choose a cause, take action, and create real impact in our community. We documented our work, shared our reflections, and compiled everything into a 3-minute video to post on YouTube and Instagram, then submitted the YouTube link on Canvas.
For this challenge, we interviewed an organization related to our problem’s G.C.G.O. to learn about their mission, origin, why they chose the issue, daily operations, challenges, successes, and future plans. This gave us valuable real-world insights.
In the E-Lab challenge, based on our mission and researched problem, we competed for a $10,000 grant by creating a project proposal presentation and a 3-minute video pitch explaining who we are, the problem, our solution, and why we need the funding.
In the E-Lab Web Design challenge, we created a website showcasing our Think Tank’s journey, team, and work using platforms like HTML/CSS/JS We submitted the website link on Canvas by the deadline.
